Permit Process
Please complete the appropriate permit application form and submit it to the Township Building along with the required payment. For any questions or clarification prior to submitting the application, please contact Susan Sharp at 610-459-1662, ext. 204, or via email at ssharp@edgmont.org.
Once the permit has been reviewed and approved, a copy will be emailed to both the property owner and the contractor. Throughout the course of the project, all required inspections must be scheduled and completed as outlined on the approved permit. After all final inspections have been conducted and approved, a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) will be issued to the property owner, and the project will be formally closed.
Permits are needed before beginning construction or improvement projects. Forms may be mailed or hand delivered at the Township Building, or e-mailed to Edgmontadmin@edgmont.org. All permit applications must be signed by the property owner. The Township does not accept permits without payment. Please note that if the property is governed by an HOA, an approval letter from the HOA is required prior to permit issuance.
Penalties: Permit fees will be doubled if work commences prior to the submission, approval, and issuance of the required permit.
