Permit Requirements for Decks Based on Height Above Grade

Decks over 30" above grade: Building Permit Application

Decks under 30" above grade: Zoning Permit Application 

 

Please submit the permit application, payment, and a plot plan of the property showing where the deck is going to be installed. Please provide a detailed drawing of the proposed deck construction and/or complete the Diagram Plan found HEREForms may be mailed or hand delivered at the township office, or or e-mailed to Edgmontadmin@edgmont.orgAll permit applications must be signed by the property owner. The Township does not accept permits without payment. Please note that if the property is governed by an HOA, an approval letter from the HOA is required prior to permit issuance.

Payments can be made HEREFor online payment, under 'Select Payment Item' select Permits. In the 'Type of Permit'  list the property address.

  • Framing Inspection
  • Final Inspection
    • Other inspections might include:  Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing
