Barn Renovation and Maintenance Repairs Bid Information
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Edgmont Township will accept bids for the following Renovation and Maintenance Repair work on a 100-plus year old (47ft x 48ft) barn situated 700 ft west of West Chester Pike & Adams Blvd, Newtown Sq., Pa., 19073.
This work includes structural repairs to (3) levels of the barn, main
work items being: safe shoring plan; selective demolition; (8) steel columns
and footings; “sistering” of several wood joists; replacement of rotted wood
framing; overlay decking of floor; and stone wall repair.
Sealed Bids are due by 2:00 PM on May 6, 2026. No bids will be accepted after this date and time. At 2:30 PM the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Township Building, by the Township Bid-Opening Committee. Anticipated contract award is May 12, 2026, at the monthly Edgmont Township Board of Supervisors meeting. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on April 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the Barn, (see location in 1st paragraph above).
