The Edgmont Township Community Park

The Park is located at 800 Gradyville Road, adjacent to the Township Building. It is the Township’s first and only municipally owned recreational facility. Covering approximately three (3) acres, the park offers visitors a large playset with slides, swings, and activities for all ages. Amenities include picnic tables, benches, a pet waste station, a walking trail, and a multi-purpose field—perfect for kicking balls, tossing frisbees, or simply relaxing. There is ample parking available, along with full ADA accessibility throughout the park.

The Township successfully secured several grants and donations to cover a large portion of the park’s construction costs. We extend our sincere gratitude to the following contributors:

  • The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for a $220,000 grant
  • The Department of Conservation and Economic Development (DCED) for a grant of approximately $218,000

  • TreeVitalize for a grant of approximately $8,000

  • Buckeye Pipeline for a donation of $8,500

  • PECO Green Region Open Space Program for a $5,000 grant to install swings

  • Toll Brothers Inc. for donating fill dirt

  • Randy Bates for donating several mature trees

The most recent upgrades to the Township Community Park include ADA-accessible swings, picnic tables, benches, ADA-approved playground mulch, and a swing shade canopy. The Township obtained an additional $98,000 in grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources, PECO, and Delaware County to make these improvements possible. We are deeply grateful for this generous support, which has helped bring our vision to life.

The Park is open from dawn until dusk, and we hope you visit soon!
